The Integra Type R is one of the best-handling FWD cars ever made.

How is that even good a thing? There are RWD/AWD cars that are better on the track.

Also FWD means no hektik skidz.

This FWD car is faster than a Ferrari F430.

Probably the most underrated Type-R ever.

That is impressive.

I understand what you say. Honda has many good handling FWD cars, such as the ITR, Civic Type R and Prelude, and so do other manufacturers such as Ford with the FoST and Focus RS. But I don’t drive in a track daily. What I want in a daily driven car is to have fun, and that is what RWD does. I see no fun in torque steer, or lame drifting such as lift off oversteer.

I mean, if drifting is all you’re after, sure.

Otherwise, I’ve found the ST to be neutral if not a bit oversteery in corners. The only time I really notice it’s FWD is when I’m trying to accelerate hard from a stop. (We have an intersection that requires crossing four lanes of 75mph traffic)

And I say this as someone who hates understeer with a burning passion. FWD has some dynamic limitations, but just like how BMW sets their alignments to heavily understeer so the trophy wives don’t kill themselves, you can tune a FWD car to swing the tail out all day long.

As to torque steer... yeah, it’s there. It’s not really noticeable for me at my altitude, though.

At the end of the day, like you say, it’s about having fun, and despite being FWD, the ST is about the most fun I’ve had in a car. Certainly more spritely by miles than the “cow up the back staircase” Gallardo.

To each his own, I’m just vouching that FWD doesn’t have to be a land of front-heavy, understeering appliances.

Dude I just drove from izu to fuji near the speedway and I saw a 600. I got a shot of some cars out front somewhere. It’s a tough game car spotting from a back seat. I will edit the shit ones and do a post at some point. An s30 flew by but it was too quick to photograph. It was my goal to see a fairlady in the wild this trip.

Drifting and oversteer are really important to me. And you’re right with BMW tuning their cars for understeer, it kills all the fun. I still have a pending test drive of a FoST.

Well yeah, it definitely sounds like RWD is your ticket, then.
